• Craigslist - A community bulletin board - a great placee to find used baby things, nannies, advice, etc.

Bay Area Parenting Resources/ Information

• Baby Brigade - Movies in Oakland with your baby. The Parkway Theater lets you bring your baby to the movies! Baby has to be under 1 year of age. In addition to the movie, you can get beer and pizza.
• Berkeley Parents Nework-A Great Resource for advice, things to do, childcare, etc. You can sign up to their 5000+ member mailing lists, too.

Stuff To Do with Kids in the Bay Area - Good Lists

• City College of SF has a number of child development classes, but most importantly, have a set of "classes" which are free, organized group play events - you meet in a playground or church basement or somewhere w/ other mothers with kids of the same age. When I had gone, you sometimes had to bring a snack or pay $2 if they had a helper.
